PRESS: Govt mulls cancellation of some checks for IT firms

MOSCOW, Mar 15 (PRIME) -- The Russian government may relieve local IT companies of some scheduled checks, including those held by fire, consumption, labor, and payroll agencies, business daily Vedomosti reported on Monday.

The measure was included in a second support package for the IT industry, which is now being considered by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.

Chernyshenko’s press service told the daily the initiative was put forward by the industry and should create a more comfortable climate for the IT business with new, low taxes.

If the government approves the idea, the bill could be drafted by September.
